Overall: I've lived here for almost 3 months and overall it's been a solid experience. The rent is affordable and it's in a convenient spot (plenty of restaurants and stores within walking distance). The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and the neighbors are friendly. There's a washer and dryer right behind the house, though you'll need a good stash of quarters.
Pros: low price, restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance.
Cons: The washing machines only accept quarters. It would be more convenient if mobile payment options like PayRange were supported.

Overall: Overall, this was one of the cheapest shared rooms I could find in a short span of time (two months) and I got what I paid for and then some. With that being said, I still enjoyed my stay. There are plenty of places to eat and markets nearby, and the neighborhood was friendly. One of the neighbors even offered me a jump-start despite the fact that they would be late to work for helping me, so I deeply appreciated that. It was very noisy though, the house is directly across the street from a school so the near-daily garbage trucks and semi-trucks that passed by could sometimes be too much. Some other noise factors were the constant helicopters that would fly by and the construction of a new building nearby. These things were not too noticeable if you keep the doors and windows closed but during the hot months you will need them open as there is no AC or cooler. I would recommend bringing a box fan to place in your window at night to pump in the cool fresh air, and possibly earplugs. The house had many small to medium issue when I moved in (leaking fridge, moldy smell in a cabinet caused by the leaking fridge, broken garbage disposal, mice in the walls) however all of these issue were eventually addressed. I had to clean the smelly cabinet myself and purchase poison traps (neither of which were difficult to do), the garbage disposal was replaced when I reported it and the fridge is in the process of being replaced now (it took a while to discover that the fridge leaked as you could only notice it when you moved the fridge). From what I heard from the cleaning lady and the maintenance men, many of the college students don't "use" the whole house (most would just stay in their bedrooms or go out) and many are first-time renters so thing could go unnoticed for a long time, I'm a bit older (26) so I knew from previous rentals what to expect in this price range, what to look for when dealing with issue, and how to solve them. Overall I would rate this place 3.5 stars out of 5. With some patience, perseverance, and a little know-how and elbow grease, this was a decent place to live at.
Pros: It was a convenient location close to several plazas with restaurants and markets, and one of the plazas would have a farmers market that also had food vendors. All of this was within a 5-10 minute walk with a park that was also a 10 minute walk. The cleaning lady was very kind and helpful.
Cons: The communication could have been faster, if there was an issue you really have to be persistent about it so that it could be solved in a timely matter.

Overall: RoomChazer helped me find a room which I'll be forever grateful for. It was a simple process that made moving in easy. Clear communication.
Pros: I liked the accessibility and common areas. Pricing was fair.
Cons: There were small issues like the fridge leaking and garbage disposal not working. Overall I don't have many cons.
